~ History of Cape Coral

Cape Coral real estate was carefully chosen by the Rosen brothers in the late 1950s and officially became an incorporated city in 1970.  The Rosen brothers were responsible for plotting out the city and creating its more than 400 miles of waterways.  Their intense marketing to people living, not only in the immediate area, but also the surrounding states, helped get all 350,000 residential sites sold, helping Cape Coral become what is now the 11th largest populated city in the state of Florida.
